Healthy Snack Recipes for Kids: Savory Roll Kebab
One of the biggest dilemma a mother can expect to experience from having kids is the challenge of providing nutritious and healthy food to their children. Kids love all things sweet or junk foods which apparently will effects child’s growth negatively. Nutrition is needed for kids to get the energy that they need to perform their daily activities as well for brain and body development.
Teaching your kids to eat healthy food from a young age is gravely important for them to be able to accept and implement healthy eating plans in the future. You can start with snacks.
Savory Roll Kebabs
This recipe serves four. It’s a good source of fiber, protein with good fat. It doesn’t use much oil in frying and integrate various food like bread, meat and vegetables. To make it look more interesting, cut the carrot slices into shapes using shape cutters. Can also be a great treat for birthday parties.

Ingredients:
- 2 slices of wholemeal bread
- 4 pieces of fish balls, boiled
- 2 chicken sausages, boiled
- Half of medium carrot, skinned and boiled
- 2 tbsp margarine, vegetable oil spread
- 1 medium egg
- Some salt and pepper
- A few sticks for presentation purposes
- And some ketchup for dipping

How to make / prepare Savory roll kebab
- First, boil the sausages, fish balls and carrot. Slice the fish balls into two slices. Cut the cucumber into a few slices.
- Then, roll the boiled sausage with the whole meal bread. One technique is by pressing a bit on the bread to flatten it. It’ll make it much easier to roll it with the sausage.
- Beat the egg lightly, and don’t forget to add some pepper and salt. Then, apply some beaten egg around the rolled sausages so that it sticks together.
- Heat up the pan with the margarine and fry the rolled sausage. It is considered done after it has turned golden brownish in color. Toss it a bit or leave it on kitchen napkin for it to absorb any excessive oil.
- Now, cut the rolls into four quarters. Stick the cut rolls on the sticks with the sticks alternating it with the sliced fish balls and carrot.

Your snack recipe sounds to be tasty as well as healthy while reading. May be i will try it for my son tomorow. It is difficult to change our eating style, but it becomes easier when we take an unhealthy or low-nutrition food and substitute a healthy food with it as the one which you suggested.
