Healthy Lunch Ideas for Everyone!

There’s two meals that you should not forget to take, and both of these meals are actually, if practiced accordingly and healthily, could be the main key to consistent and gradual weight loss plan as well as part of a healthy eating plan regime. The two meals are breakfast and lunch respectively. If you think skipping these meals can help you to cut down calories, think again because skipping on the two meals is definitely not a smart idea to lose weight. (And this is said based on personal experience.)

Frankly speaking, it is not much of how much or frequent you eat but rather what you eat and eating according to your needed calorie for everyday activities. Many people including prominent celebrities have tried a diet plan that emphasize on frequent eating of small portion meals while increasing their metabolic rate through regular exercises. This type of eating plan helps a person to maintain their focus and morale while avoiding oneself from deprivation from food. However, when it comes to exercise, you’d probably need more of discipline and determination. Weight training can help you in converting fat into valuable muscles that consequently assist in increasing metabolism. Also, remember to drink sufficient water in the process.

Back to the main issue, skipping breakfast and meal can lead you to binge eating. It is more probably that you tend to snack on unhealthy food and overeat at dinner or suppertime. As most people would have figured out that eating heavy meals after 7 pm can lead to weight gain.

Food choice for lunch is very important too. It is advisable to choose food that is low in fat, high in fiber and protein and have moderate amount of carbohydrate for your daily calorie need. Besides grabbing ready prepared food from your local restaurants and cafes, you can also opt to prepare lunch for yourself at home. Other than being able to cut down costs, you can also monitor the nutritional aspect of your meal. If you can’t prepare it early in the morning, try preparing something that can be done the night before such as cold cuts sandwiches.

Other varieties of foods that you can choose from are listed below. However, bear in mind that these are only suggestions and are subject to your own interest and convenience. You are free to create more, modify and use your own creativity to prepare healthy lunch for yourself.

Here’s some healthy lunch meals and ideas as per suggestion:

  • Soups with grain bread or pretzels
  • Crackers with peanut butter, cereal bar, instant oatmeal with fresh fruits

  • Homemade fresh burger with lots of vegetables
