Healthy Eating Plan in Managing Stress

One part of stress management is managing your response towards the identified your stress factor and how to do this efficiently. There are many kinds of stress factors or stressors but they may vary from one person to another. For some people, their job’s workload, parenting pressure or financial responsibilities is their main cause of stress, but there are also cases where the main cause of stress is their diet.

Unhealthy diet and extreme dieting can actually cause a person’s stressful condition. And even if it is not the main contributor, bad dieting habits can elevate a person’s stress level, making them in a much more depressing condition than they’re already in. Thinking too much about your weight will make most people resort to extreme dieting; and in times when there was no immediate result to be seen, can lead to stress.

Some cases of stress are solely due to nutritional deficiencies or excesses and these will be corrected by dietary changes and nutritional supplementation alone. This is because people who are on extreme dieting will try to cut their calorie intake drastically, and this will make the body feel very weak even to do simple activities. When this situation is prolonged, eventually it will affect the person’s digestion system to become chronically poor, they will become malnourished and then creates additional physiological stress.
