Healthy Snack Recipe For Kids: Fruit Juice Jelly with Nata de Coco

It’s time for another snack for your kids! This time I came up with something that really easy to make, and most important, I’m pretty sure your kids going to love this! It’s called Fruit Juice Jelly with Nata de Coco. This particular snack encourage your children to indulge more on fruits, and it’s up to you to choose which fruity flavor too, or simply make a fine combination of any two of the fruits. This is a great snack to cool the body and with Nata de Coco and fruits, it adds a little fiber to it as well.

Fruit Juice Jelly with Nata de Coco

Fruit juice jelly with nata de coco

This recipe makes for about 6 small cups of jelly. You can use the normal gelatine powder or if you want a more firm texture of jelly, you could give Konyaku jelly powder a try. Since this recipe is using fruit juice, you can also reduce the amount of sugar used than what is proposed here, since most juices are already loaded with sugar. If you are using naturally homemade juice, then you should just use the same amount of sugar written below. This dessert snack is best served cold. It takes only around 5 to 10 minutes to get it done. Happy trying~!

Ingredients:-

  • 1 ½ tbsp gelatine powder
  • 50 gm granulated sugar
  • 200 ml of fruit juice (apple, grapes, mango, orange etc)
  • ½ cup of fruit chunks, dice in small pieces
  • (if you’re using apple juice, use apple chunks but you can leave this out if you want to)
  • 300 ml water
  • 5-7 tbsp of nata de coco
  • Prepare too about 6 small decorative molds.

How to make / prepare Fruit Juice Jelly with Nata de Coco

  1. Boil slowly the gelatine powder, sugar, fruit juice and water all together. Stir it lightly but constantly to avoid any lumps from forming.
  2. After all the ingredients are dissolved and well-blend, make sure that the liquid is not too thick, if it is, add a little more water.
  3. Now pour the ingredients into the pre-prepared decorative moulds one by one. Be sure to pour it only ¾ full so that you can fill in other ingredients without it pouring out of the mould.
  4. Quickly divide the fruit bites and nata de coco equally into each mould.
  5. Then you should let it cool in the fridge before serving.
